DVD's of Southend v Col******r Games

Chester City offer DVD's of all games played at home for £4.99 (plus p&p) for EVERY home match.

Surely with the technology Scriven has, we could offer a similar service. For us exiled fans it would be fantastic and maybe have an arrangement with our opposing clubs (i.e. Col******r) for certain away games to be made available.

Surely they'd be sold by the bucket load. I know I'd buy.

Or wait for a season DVD include a 90 mins of SUFC Vs Col******r Ewes home & away, that would sell out by loads. Include a Subtitle option if we don't understand Parky bitter's speech

Are Chester the only club who do this? It's a great thing to offer, I'd certainly buy a few throughout the season. It might mean less people buy the end of season DVD but surely sales of individual games would make up for that.

The Col******r game would certainly sell well on DVD and I would be buying it. Maybe they could include the Parkinson post match Interview as an extra to give us all a good laugh.

£4.99 inc P&P looks a good value as well. There would be a few games I would have bought this season at that price.

Arsenal released a DVD a little while back called 'Great wins over Spurs' (Was either Spurs or Man Utd)

So why don't Southend release great victories over rivals from the last couple of times we played them. It will be full of Col U games, but thats great!

I think if there was any one off match worth selling on DVD this season then the club could certainly shift a few of Saturdays game.

don't see why they can't have both games on 1 DVD? Kev Feasey was filming them both so SUFC have them in the archives ( so to speak )

Col******r offer DVD's of certain games, and also a full season compilation.
I cant see Col******r offering a DVD of Saturdays game

but they obviously have the contacts to produce them.
The last one we did was the Leamington game, but that one cost £9.99 which looks expensive compared to the £4.99 Chester charge their fans.
I would not be surprised to see the Chelsea game on DVD, up for sale soon at Layer Road, but sometimes the smaller clubs struggle with getting permission to reproduce them from SKY etc.
I think from your point of view a DVD of Saturdays game would sell very well.
Our club shop sold several hundred match DVD's in the run up to Christmas.

Quote[/b] (canveyshrimper @ Mar. 07 2006,11:51)]It's not something that hasn't been done before as my mate has a video of the QPR LDV game of 2 seasons ago.
And I have a small collection of VHS cassettes produced in the late 80s/early 90s. I can't actually remember what all of them are of, I think there are a couple of season reviews in there, but I know there is one of the Littlewoods Cup tie against Spurs, which we won 3-2, but were knocked out on the away goals rule. The only trouble with it, though, is that there was only one camera, from behind the South Bank (pre-blocks of flats), which isn't best for seeing all the action, although you do get commentary from the great Gerry Harrison! This would be the slight annoyance for having a whole game on DVD - it would only be from one camera, which might get a bit tedious, especially as we are so used to the many cameras used for the average TV game today. Although having said that, I guess it didn't bother the people watching on the big screen on Saturday, did it?

I'm afraid I have to admit that I only got round to buying last season's DVD review at the Walsall game, but have been extremely impressed with the professional quality of it from the bits I've seen. It's certainly a far cry from the amateurish John Adams videos.....

I will certainly want to buy this season's DVD review when it comes out, rather than just a single match. As was mentioned earlier, the problem with selling DVD's of every game is that not many people will want to buy them if you start losing...

It would be a cracking idea, there have certainly been games in the Tilly era that I wish I had, including the victories over Col Ewe, Darlington, Boston, QPR etc.

Maybe a DVD including the full 90 minutes of both Essex Derbies would be a good idea. I know I'd certainly buy that as well as the end of season DVD.
