Blue tinted optimist⭐🦐
From the Echo

Launches scathing attack on Peterborough boss Mark Wright.  Says his man management skills are "a joke". Was due to play the second 45 mins of Posh's game but was subbed after only 25.  Nothing was said and then he was slated in the press afterwards.

So, he has no club and on "a matter of principle" refuses to sign the Blues deal as it stands.  Says he's only spoken to Tilly once in 7 weeks and also wants an equal chance of playing - that didn't happen last year.  Admits it's unlikely he'll pull on an SUFC shirt again.

It sounds to me as though Duds put in an Oxford-type performance on Tuesday.  He has 3 weeks and one offer still (but only just) on the table.  How principled can someone afford to be?

So - a question - this transfer window.  Does it apply to transfers only or can clubs bring in players out of contract?

That must've been when he turned up late at Cambridge without any boots.

IIRC, non-contracted players can be signed up.

Also, players can be signed if they are amateurs, this happened with Dundee, they signed Hassan Kachloul as an amateur, and gave him a paying job at the same time, something like Business Development. Echoes of the cushy jobs the technically amateur Eastern Bloc players used to get during the days of communism...

Doesn't sound good, Tilly doesn't stand for players upsetting the balance and spirit of the team and I fear he may not even be a last-minute back-up...very much hope that's not the case, would love to see him stay, but assuming we do go for a new 1st choice striker to partner Freddy, I can't see him signing up.

It was Livingston but you're almost there. Dundee come into the equation as they feel that this is breaking the rules & they want the SPL to deduct points from Livingston (not basically because this would mean Livingston would get relegated in place of the Dark Blues!)

I hope he doesnt stay - he can $%&* off...

Failing to turn up for training, demanding to play in the first team, training and playing for another team (then playing badly and slagging the manager off!)

My opinion of Dudfield has changed alot and he can rot for all I care now. Justice will prevail when he gets his wanted chance of 1st team football at Kettering...

This came from a reliable source

Duds was offered an improved contract but turned it down

He was told not to turn up for training. what do you want him to do? Gatecrash?

So what? We were pleased when he originally came and he did help. The club has moved on and so probably the player. Thats life. I am only too grateful that a player of his ability is still only a third or fourth choice at the club. That says a lot for the rest of the team. Well done Tilly, keep it up and us with it!

no but I was and Chris from the Echo told us the whole sorry story. Sounds like Posh will implode at some point next season if they keep up what he told us about Fry & Wright

I do not know what to think on the Dudders issue anymore to be honest, so i feel i should stick to my guns, and say we are short on strikers, so i hope he stays

If thats what dudfield is saying about another team offering him another chance the god knows what he must be saying about southend.

Don't know what all the fuss is about, Wright sussed him out straight away.
He has never scored goals in his career and never will untill he moves to a non league team.
