Following on from last week, when Tom Pope went to East Dene Primary School to help promote healthy eating, this week, striker, Drewe Broughton has been to Dalton Listerdale Junior and Infant School to open a newly completed study area.
'It was strange how I got involved,' Drewe told the Official Site. 'The guy who installed my Sky TV told me that the school was looking for someone to open the study area - so I volunteered. It's a nice area and has a pond and I'm sure it will help the students.
'It was a good turnout and the kids were enthusiastic. I expected most of them to be Sheffield United fans and I was surprised how many of them knew me and were wearing Rotherham shirts. I wasn't expecting them to be as interested as they were and I was signing autographs on napkins which wasn't ideal so I took some signed photo's in a few days later.'
