Try before you buy ? Better than signing someone and being stuck with them for a year or two.

Anyone else think Mark Stimson is a double agent sent back from the future to get Gillingham relegated?

Having gone to Uni in Kent I have read a number of local papers and the local teletext there that has suggested Mark Stimson is bringing in a group of players that want to be at the club. A group who show character, work ethic and belief. A willingness to improve their game and a whole team wanting to improve together.

I think it is a great idea and you can gain so much with a team togetherness it is just a shame that he seems to bring in a group of players whose skill levels are significantly lower than on a par for the players in their league.

Good luck to him though - he has a clear idea about the type of player he wants and it is a learning curve in his managerial career.

No problem with Goal Droughton, I would think he wants to be at any club - that will have him. After one season each team can't wait to offload him. Boston, Chester, Wrexham, MK Dons. Two of them went out of the league when he was playing for them.

Heard a whisper from a lad at work who told me that the chairman wanted them to be relegated last season in order to get rid of the hanger-on players who's agenda was money and brought a negative vibe to the club , this season will be different with Stimmo bringing in players witha desire to be at the club.

Never heard of that type of goings on before but as its football then nothing surprise's me

No, someone will sign him. He ended up at MK Dons FFS, I am sure one of the newly promoted sides will take him on. He must make a fortune in signing on fee's ;)
