Chance for him to work really hard and prove himself before getting a longer contract, good for both parties really! Lets hope this one works out well

Forte is still a possibility , Cowan is basically on another month long trial , if he cant get fit and impress in that time , he wont sign .

the window still has a month to go so , Cowan doesn't impress and we sign Forte on Deadline day OR ... he signs on loan shortly after ...

Why not sign a squad player for a month see what happens and if no good then other plan to be made

Isn't that 20 players we have now? Surely that means:

a) We aren't signing anyone else soon, unless on youth loan (think we are allowed them without going over).
b) Someone is leaving
c) The embargoes are being lifted.

Welcome to the club DC, hope it is a successful spell and you join the league of scorers who couldn't hit a donkeys backside with a banjo for other clubs but score like crazy for us.

Out of interest, how hard is it to hit a donkeys backside with a banjo?

As Ive posted before, the league said its a matchday squad, not 20 players.....

This is a bit of savvy thinking by the Phil Brown and the club working under the embargo. If he works out great extend the contract, if not then he goes and we can get another player in and not have a valuable space in the squad taken by someone that's unsuitable. I am beginning to find this all a bit hard to take; I've watched decent football, a fit team of players, managed and coached well and now shrewd contract negotiations! If we start building a stadium then I will need therapy :stunned:.

Welcome Don, as said above hope this is a good move for both.

Oh and will "hitting a donkey's backside with a banjo" be a replacement at half time for the "win you're height in pizza" competition? Given the apparent levels of skill required it might be entertaining.
