I wonder how you would have interpreted these events if the accused person had been someone from the right with a track record of adultery and lewd conduct? Would you have condemned him out of hand for his vile actions towards this poor African immigrant? I am amused by the way that the left champion the cause of illegal immigrants, but when they turn against their political orthodoxy, the immigrant becomes a calculating and conniving opportunist.

As for eating humble pie? I'll gladly admit that I was mistaken, around the same time that you concede that you got it wrong over and over again about Lord Barry of Corr, a matter far more important to us all.

Looks like a French journo may press charges against DSK / DFS for an assault that took place some time ago. It's something like eight years with no payment in this case...

That's two hypothetical questions.Personally I think life is much too short to take such "what if" questions seriously.

I'm much more interested to see if DSK will run in the French Socialist Party primaries.Probably not I'd guess.
btw I don't think the immigrant concerned in the DSK case is an illegal immigrant,as such, but she would certainly appear to be an unreliable witness(at least as far as the prosecution is concerned).
