Direct Free-kick Conceded

Grayson

Life President⭐🦐
Have we conceded from more direct free-kicks in a season before? Off the top of my head, I remember:

Orient (h)
Leeds (a)
Doncaster (h)
Millwall (a)
Carlisle (a)
Port Vale(h)
Doncaster (a)

Anyone remember any others? 7 (at least) in 48 games is quite a lot, almost 1 in every 7 matches.

Are the reasons for this a short wall or a short keeper, or both? Or just bad luck?

Millwall was the defences fault, the ball went under them

Carlisle was daryll's fault

I would say the standard of free kicks has certainly improved over the last couple of years. Even our own have been a huge improvement

That's because Maher got involved in them less and less.

Agreed, when Hammell went i was seriously worried about the quality of free kicks and corners we would produce but i have to say as much as i like Hammell , Mulgrew's dead balls and all round game is better.

Its because, when we put up a wall, Darryl can't see a thing and hopes for the best. TBH I think we should scrap the wall while we have darryl, he would have more chance of getting it
