Question
What do Rushden and Diamonds, Kidderminster and Cambridge United have in common? Oh, and throw in Torquay and Peterborough too....
Clue
Rushden and Diamonds - 22nd, League Two
Kidderminster - 23rd, League Two
Cambridge United - 24th, League Two
Torquay United - 21st, League One
Peterborough - 23rd, League One
All potentially going down......
....with former Southend forwards
There are those who moan variously about the departures of Broughton; Rawle for the departing traitor reason, rather than the belief that he should have been retained; Webb - no, only kidding, I meant Bramble; and Constantine - perhaps partially to blame for both Peterborough and Torquay's woeful state this year.
All I would point out is look where they are. Players do find their correct level after a while, and if we had retained some of these, we may not have unearthed the diamond that is Freddy Eastwood - not to mention Wayne Gray. All teams crave a good partnership of goalscorers. Okay, today it was Spinner and Barrett, but normally, the partnership of Gray and Eastwood is a pretty impressive one. Certainly more so than Bramble and Rawle, which is what we had a couple of seasons back.
(I did not even have to mention Neville Roach and Tony Richards!!!!!)
