Yeah I think he’ll be seen as a coach from here onwards. Hopefully he’ll be registered as a player anyway, because he wouldn’t let us down if called upon. He may yet be needed - almost certainly as an option from the bench as a minimum.thought Demi was registered as a coach with us now , sure someone posted that last week.
Surely something is planned, because I agree this apparent silent transition would be a disgrace if this is all that happens. He seems to have been removed from the official site since Monday. This is what is currently showing and see this post from Monday when he was named as a coach
He is still listed as a player but that’s not up to date as there’s no George Wind profile (yet - I’m sure one will appear once they read this post)
If this is the end it is very shoddy to not have an announcement thanking him for his contribution over the years.
Anyone know if he went to Ireland with the squad?Taken from the article in the Echo previewing the Chelmsford game -
Jason Demetriou will also not feature for Blues but the Echo understands the defender remains in talks with the club and Maher is keen for him to remain at Roots Hall.
Hope not, Demi can still do a job as wing back if needed, still a good player. Coach plus fill in should be offered. COYB UTBDoes the wind signing spell the end for demi.
Has he been around for pre season?
Not played.
Spoke to him at the end of season do at the cliffs and seemed sure the player coach thing was happening.
Another hero of the last two seasons but looks like he gone
At the moment we do not have a complete squad! With respect to Demi and his service to us. We do not need people who can fill in, or due a job. We have CB's and midfielders who can easily cover at full back. We are not going to be done to 12 this season or even 15. So no need for Demi to register as a player.
As for a coach thast up to Kev and COSU. No idea what hey is like coaching but it would make our bench rather crowded for a NL club.
At the moment we do not have a complete squad!
