I think we've analysed the forwards issue to death but very few threads seem to have concentrated on our defensive frailties this season.
For the upteenth time we've conceded 3 goals again. How many of them were quality goals where you can honestly sit back and say (through gritted teeth) that it was a good strike, or team goal, and there was nothing we could do ? In fact how many of the goals we've conceded this season were real crackers ? Very few.
We've had quite a number of central defensive partnerships this season but how many have really worked consistently ? Clarke has been the pick of the back four for me and has come on leaps and bounds but I wonder whether any of our defenders would make it into another Championship team. Possibly Clarke, Francis and Hammell ?
We can't look at Harrold, Foran and others and put the blame on them for our current predicament.
