No-one else seems to have put it on lol, so I'll put it on.

The Basildon-born ex-Blues winger played non-league football for Hornchurch and Harlow last season, while also taking up a position with Platinum Sports Management that has seen him working for one of their football agents Tommy Cunningham.

Between them, they look after the interests of Lyon star Fred, Hull City's Canvey-based midfielder Dean Marney plus Southend United duo Matt Harrold and Simon Francis.

And it is a role that Lee is already relishing.
"I work for an agent covering games and talking to chief scouts and managers which is good fun," said Lee.
"It's the next best thing to playing and I work just like an agent except for actually being one!"
But despite the new role, Lee is also determined to relaunch his career after finally recovering from the horrific injury he sustained while playing for Aldershot at Canvey Island in August 2005.

I bet he must be really busy with Harrold. Just imagine him sitting by the phone, tapping his fingers on the desk waiting for the phone to ring the 6th consecutive day

Now I've seen he acts for Francis, that's him gone then.

He's already been touting himself as an agent on Barnard's Facebook. Coming out with all the compliments on Barnard's season and who acts on your behalf, are you happy with them, I work for so and so. Back off Mr Lee!

Agents are the scourge of football and should all be rounded up and summararily shot with a whale harpoon. Why can't players act for themselves, it's not like they haven't got the time on their hands is it? If I was getting paid a whack the last thing I'd be doing is giving 15%+ of it to some fat shady individual who only wants what's best for him.

Some of them maybe, but not all.

With all due respect to Fredy Eastwood, do you honestly think he has the brains to negotiate for himself? An agent would easily get him a whole lot more, which would be enough to pay for themselves, and then some. As far as I know, agents don't get anywhere near 15%.

Agents don't just negotiate contracts. They offer a whole lot more on top, after all, if that was all they did no-one would use them because there is a free contract negotiation service provided by the PFA (at least I think it's from the PFA).

David Lee signed for Canvey yesterday, could be a big player for our first season back in the Ryman Prem.
