David Lee

jro

First XI
From the aldershot website about last nights game

"The result at Canvey was overshadowed on Tuesday night by an horrific compound fracture suffered by midfield star Dave Lee. Described by the Canvey Island club doctor as one of the worst sports injuries he has seen, a broken bone has protruded through Dave's foot. Dave has been admitted to hospital in Southend where he will undergo surgery tonight and he will remain in hospital for several days."

Should anyone wish to send a message of support to Dave, you can do so by emailing shotsweb@yahoo.co.uk. Was at the game, it was a mistimed tackle, nothing like the average Premier$hite lunge, but the resulting injury was horrific. Canvey went on to win the game but it seemed somewhat irrelevant after what happened.

Poor fellow. Sounds a bit like David Busst's injury - a picture to give people nightmares!

If you're talking about the post above yours, I'd tend to agree, but maybe Matt can confirm whether or not it was one of his long essays first before we cringe at the thought of a footballer having to try and work his way through an MtS tome.

Just to let everyone know, last saturday was at the East Thurrock v AFC Wimbledon game and David Lee was there on crutches. Said hello and wished him all the best. Good luck Dave!
