David Gold

Coach⭐🦐
Interesting interview on Sky Sports with David Gold. He wants to get back into another club, south of Watford. Talking too about the likes of Brighton. Ok, didn't mention us but could it be possible?????

We had this discussion a while back. Think the general opinion was that there was no chance of him coming here (Think Gold even alluded as much?) Most likely to go to West Ham, as he is a local lad.

Not only is Gold a local lad he's apparently also a former Wet Sham youth player, according to the Evening Standard. Sullivan is reported to be "in talks" with Gold being "kept informed" but they are both concerned about the level of debt believed to be around £50m.

Got a feeling he lives just outside Brighton but as they already have a major backer he might not be so keen. Personalyl never liked him anyway so not to worried.

Cant really see why he would want West Ham or why west ham would want him, he can take them no further than he took Birmingham, and lets face it he couldnt even make Birmingham the biggest team in the midlands, he kept them sound money wise but they are a yoyo club when it comes to top filght footy

You make alternating between Premiership and Championship sound like some sort of failure.

Gold and Sullivan have the financial clout to easily bulid the FF venture and maybe turn Southend into another Reading? They could not lose money and only have everything to gain.

Sullivan was recently on Sky Sports, and whether it was him being clever so it didn't sound like he was massively keen on West Ham and therefore not giving out any hints to their current owners I don't know. But he basically kept going on about how they're not a club anyone would particularly want to take over due to their massive debts. He basically listed all the reasons why it'd be a bad decision.

If you looked at it from the outside then we'd be an ideal sort of club for the likes of those two to take on, but I doubt it'd ever happen.
