Darryl a lot better ...BUT

I thought that Darryl had a much better game last night and looked a bit more confident and even shouted to the defence a few times ,but alas it only takes one mistake and that came after 64 minutes when again he was rooted to his line as the ball was passed across in front of him .

i do think he could have done a lot better on the goal. i havn't seen a replay of it yet but on first view i thought flavs should have come off his line. could be wrong as i would like to see a replay.

To be fair to Flavs, one of their guys, possibly Ormerod, came flying it with his studs showing trying to get there first.

But he made one very good stop in the first half when the ball was crossed from the forest right low and with pace about 5 yards from the goal line with the distinct possibility of an Barrett own goal or a forest striker planting it from the far post. Flavs dived forward and cut it out brilliantly.

I've watched the replay from sky sports over and over and unfortunately his error of judgement probably cost us two more points ,although a totally unmarked thornhill at the back post brings the defence into question as well for that moment .

This is why it's so frustrating .we dominate for 2/3rds of the match ,have a lot more clear cut chances ,made them look a very ordinary side at times and we defend brilliantly for the first 60 minutes without giving them a look in .

Wouldn't blame Darryl at all... Tyson fixed balls across the box from that side too many times - could that not have been stopped?! Who was picking up the Forest player to put it in. Darryl doesn't seem to be at his best at the moment but imo that goal was not his fault - poeple are to quick to blame him - I don't think Collis would have ever have got there!!!

The problems started before that - the build-up on the LHS (not for the first time yesterday) was awash with space. Never mind the ball into the box - it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I don't think the blame is with Daryl. Black left the right hand side open all night and they had acres of space to make their goal. He was playing well out of position for most of the game, I reckon that's why Grant came on to fill the gaps that Tyson kept finding.

Find it hard to accept criticism of Darryl last night, he was getting physically abused by their players every time they had a corner or free kick coming into the area - he must be black and blue today. I thought he had a good game, and he fair gave the west lino a telling off for not giving a foul on him in the 1st half!

well said Daryl did had a good game!

makes me laugh really, one player is allowed to be abused even though he played well yesterday, yet another cannot and he isn't playing because he isnt good enough?
little contradictory isnt it?
