The Business
Following on from Bazza the Dog's britains hardest away days thread I am still a little undecided on Danny Dyer.

One the plus side I really liked him in Mean Machine, Football Factory and the business and while he is a little type cast I think as an actor he is good. I also like the fact that to a small degree you can relate to him rather than a lot of the crap American actors I am forced to watch on TV.

That said I hate his mockey "I am such a boy side". Every sentence he says has to have at least 4 swear words and he seems to think just because he played a hooligan in FF that he is in fact ITK.

I also deteste his sayings such as woo its a bit naughty around here etc etc. Total ****.

So I open this debtate to you the SZ public.

I love football factories International which is on at the moment but like you I'm still unsure about Dyer. He is genuinly quite funny at times and also quite gutsy. Like you though what gets me is the cockney phrses like, the old bill and oh this is naughty. The one in Poland this week when he went to see a firm out in the sticks he used a phrase I'm not too familiar with "popping my flapper"????
If it means swimming against the tide. He does seem genuine though so he yes he is cool:D

I hate him. I don't use that word often but in his case it's warranted.

Football factory was one of the most excruciating messes I've ever (partially) sat through. His face in Severance was enough to put me off it

A terrible actor who is milking the fact his mate directed some rubbish low budget flicks that only appeal to those people who the country needs less of

It has been known before that I look a little bit Mr Dyer...

In my opinion he is a bit of cockney tw*t! However, a fair few birds seem to fancy him and telling the (naive and gullible) ladies I am in fact the one and only Danny Dyer certainly livens up the clubbing experience.

Agreed, he is a co*k but you are right, the ladies fancy him!

Awesome in the Business and Football Factory, annoying in that football thing with Ray Winstone. Loving his work in that new show on Bravo, preferring his world travels meeting firms then the usual Burberry Stone Island clad British hooligan stereotypes in the last series.

Funniest bit was in Argentina when the North Bank terrace (with Danny Dyer in it) did a massive surge after going 1-0 up. Cut to Dyer post goal celebrations "f**k me, I have literally just s**t my pants!"

Rubbish, he's a decent bloke, he drinks in one of my haunts. He's actually a bit shy. Lived in Plaistow area all his life. Still drinks there.

Here here,

little known fact that he was born in east london, but actually was brought up on a country estate with Mumma and Papa..

so i think it is an act as well..

Yeh i see that bit. Well funny

He is pure, unintentional Comedy.

The Football Factories International Episode when he went to Argentina and got escorted to a "safe zone" because it got too hot for him was hillarious. He's a good actor, he's even good in Outlaw although he is typecast, but what actor isn't these days?

Still, he's a complete ****...

Commets like 'This is the furthest I've ever been from my Manor' and 'I'm gonna meet some pretty dark geezers' make him a tool. However, I think he's a cracking actor, from playing a plum in Mean Machine to a gangster in The Business.

Therefore undecided.

Unsure on him to be honest, watched "The Business" the other night and thought he was cracking in that, and football factories, but he supports West Ham so therefore, I'm undecided.
