TV Highlights Dagenham & Redbridge 0-2 Southend United

I commented on the match thread that looked like Collin was 'clothes lined' a little in the challenge that saw him go off.

Replay there defo shows contact (clothes line might be a bit dramatic) from the DR player who is late - but not even a free kick.

Several things very noticeable from those highlights.

Impossible to tell whether Bonne was onside when Morton put in the pass, but both pass and header were good. Repeat those types of moves and some will come off, so keep going....

The three forwards as a pack were all involved in that first goal. Bonne closing down the keeper, dodgy pas across the backline by the first defender, Walker challenging for it, ball ends up at Kendall's feet, decent shot, saved by the keeper, but falls again to Kendall, who rounds the defender on the floor, lifts his head up, picks out Bonne, who puts it away, still not an easy tap in, but Walker is also there to pounce on any potential rebound. Far more likely to score attacking with that kind of intensity of pressure.

Two instances of Bonne's calm head defending a couple of set pieces. Evidence of work on the training ground, perhaps, after the disappointment of the Barnet match?

And several good saves by Harness, ensuring the 12th clean sheet in the league this season (plus two in cup games). We have conceded 30 goals in 27 league matches, only five teams have conceded less. Last season, 16 clean sheets, conceding 45 goals. Yes, we need to score more, but this formation looked far more likely to do so.

I like hopeful signs....

On the highlights at 2mins 55secs. Stuck on the base of the floodlight 'pylon' just where GSM etal are celebrating our second goal. A dirty great big claret and blue Wet Spam poster!!!

Now that's embarrassing!!! Have a word with yourselves D&R.
