Cup Ref watch ....

Mick

Life President
Refereeing his second Southend cup tie of the season is Keith Hill. Very experienced, been refereeing for ages, nothing to prove - going nowhere (often the best sort). In his earlier days often performed eratically and annoyingly but now seems to have levelled off. Is an FA regional referees' officer.

Sounds reasonable - i.e. unlikely to feel the need to produce a flurry of cards for no good reason. Here's hoping.

Thanks Mick.

Not wishing to be incorrect, but is the the ref with an arm impediment? If so, I recall him being pure ****e a few years ago, and even now, I groan when I see he is referreeing...

You are correct. That is what I was hinting at with the "eratic and annoying" bit. Really is better these days.

I think I can recall one or two decent performances from him recently to be fair. There's another ref whose name escapes me who I can remember asking if I could see him next week (after monday, before wednesday) who has also improved.

Out of interest, when was the last time we had the Turbanator, Mr Singh?

Not Keith Hill with the arm? Or lack of? We haven't a prayer, he always has it in for us. I think he must have lost his arm in a shark attack in the Thames Estuary. Wasn't he the ref against Kingstonian who added 3 minutes instead of 33 at the end of the game?

Oh no!!

The man is useless (was gonna say harmless but might of come out wrong), At least most people will be too busy abusing him rather than Matt "Dangerous" Harold

Watford (reserves) - this season. League Cup win.

He's reffed us 5 times in competitive games. We've won them all. Mind you they've all been at home.

His only real blot was the away friendly at Crawley which didn't go too well.

We've won more than we've lost with him in charge (7 W, 5 L, 1 D) although that's not as impressive as it seems as all but one were at home.

Edited as answered above.
