Cudicini joins spurs

Gomez will stay as number 1 i would think. Cudicini will play backup just as he was at Chelsea. He only had 6 months left on his Chelsea contract anyway. Probably will mean the end for Ben Alnwick though!

Carlisle might take him back on loan they were trying to get a goalkeeper but had one turned down for newcastles Krul. Not sure if they have got one yet though
 
Very good signing there. Until Cech and then Riena came into the Premiership, Cudicini was the best goalkeeper in the Premiership in my eyes.

There are rumours of Gomes back to PSV, Cudicini as number 1, Steve Harper at Newcastle in at number 2.
 
I prefer Cudicini to Cech, think he is a miles better goalkeeper. An excellent signing for Spurs, and to get him on a free IMO makes him the signing of the season. If he plays week in week out I can't see any problems with Tottenham avoiding relegation.
 
i remember hearing a while back he could play for england??
is this true
it was something about being in the uk for 5 or more years and not being called up for the italian squad.
 
terrible signing, he's played about 24 games in four seasons.
should have got a goalie whos playing, why not go for given / kirkland / green.
atleast they didnt have to pay for him.

That is true same with Almunia, but I think as someone mentioned on here before isn't there a gentleman's agreement that stops this from ever happening?
 
Somewhat bizaarely I saw this on BBC News 24 with subtitles on in a Building Society. The subtitles read that Spurs have signed Carlo Chudda-Keeney from Chelsea where he has been second choice since Pert Cheek's arrival.
