England finished on 210-9 when bad light and rain came down with 4 overs left.

Might sound lucky but from the debacle that was 148-6 at lunch to bat it out almost to the end was remarkable.

Indeed they did.  Good to hear, as well, that the King of Spain (aka Ashley Giles) should be fit for the Kandy Test.  And Nasser is back too!

Still, Murali's cheeky 11-wicket haul in the first test is clearly a cause for concern...

P.S. I think Ashley Giles' nickname of "The King of Spain" comes from the fact that he was given some trophy on which he was supposedly being dubbed the "King of Spin", but the engraver misspelt the word "Spin"!  I think it's Blowers who refers to him as the King of Spain...
