Craig Davies

Oxford's young striker Craig Davies may be worth a look.  Apparently Verona wanted to sign him up but Craig declined.  He's only 20 and seems to have bags of potential.  Below are some links to the Oxford official site which gives some more detail: -

Oxford seem to be open to offers, hence the Verona talks.

He may be able to do a job for us this season but I reckon this player could be a sound investment for the future.

What do people think or is everyone bored senseless with all this transfer talk?

Davies has impressed me when I've seen him but he's still too unproven for my liking

I would imagine tilly would be looking for a striker with a proven track record in order to fire us to promotion

Might be one to bring in, in the near future should Fredy ever move on

Maybe he was going to Verona to see what they like & for an talk, there is no reason why Tilson should make an move for him, he is cheaper & more skillful than Fallon & got talent to play at Championship level.

Think I recall him being linked to a few prem clubs not so long ago. Very impressed with him when we lost there last season. Im sure he'd love to move to Southend rather than Italy.

Don't see why Tilly wouldn't be interested. Has great potential and Tilly wants to build a team for the future. He would be a great assest to the club.

Danny Webb has signed for Yoevil today. Perhaps to replace Jevons

Actually, I think that's more to do with the new owner/chairman/whatever than anything to do with replacing Jevons!

Who comes to us. Freddy leaves us to go to Norwich. Ashton leaves to go West Ham. Bobby Zamora then leaves to join Newcastle. Owen then leaves after being forced out for his supposed comments about not being happy there. He is then snapped up by us on a free as he wants to be out of the lime light for a bit. Unfortunately after scoring 45 goals in the remaining 18 matches he is poached by Barcelona in a swap deal with Ronaldinho and Eto.

Yes but during his last proper spell with us he got rid of our higher paid players and brought in cheaper replacements. Well we've already got Sodje so if Dave Webb is true to form others could be on their way out once he sorts out cover. It is surely reasonable to assume that Jevons is among the better paid and with Webb's connections with us where might he try to place them?
