As the prospect is quite a possibility, I wonder how others feel about facing ColU at Cardiff or Wembley in the playoff final.
My nerves would be in tatters at the prospect of losing to our lesser rivals. national humiliation that would be too much to handle if the unthinkable happened and we lost to them.
Discuss!

Judging by their supporter base and our lack of turnout at the Play-Off Final they will only need to open half a stadium if that actually happened.

It would be a close battle... but what a great tie it would be (even though I'd need a change of underwear).

Still rather go up in an auto place.

my flatmate claims swansea and Col******r will go up via the playoffs, and then we would loss in the final.

he is no locked out of the flat and isn't allowed back in until he apologises. he didn't seem to bothered and headed over the road to the pub

I hope it doesn't come to that, I don't think my nerves could stand a play-off final two years running, whoever it's against!!!

i too would be absolutely sh!tting myself at the prospect of possibly losing out on promotion to Col U. if we won it though which if it came down to it i know we could easily just think of the jubilation. to be honest id swap auto promotion with pipping Col U. to the final promotion spot. it would be truely marvellous.

I reckon I could handle it. I believe my nerves would be tested by the run of form going into thought if it happened. Lets say if Col******r slipped down now but with a few games to go made a late surge for the playoffs but we went top of a month or so and then plummeted down then I would be more concerned. Especially if we scrapped through on penalties in the semi's and Col******r won like 6-0 on aggregrate. But that aside I would favour us because we have been here before last season. We have now the experience of playing in this type of game - ok not against our local rivals but in the pressure of the chance for promtion. Col******r do not. Lots of factors add to whether it will be as nerve wrecking as it could be.

you could throw into that suspensions and injuries as well.

It would be one of those games where if we won, it would be the greatest day of my life but if we lost, if would be the worst, most humiliating one.

By the way Prodigal son, Wembley is a hell of a lot closer than Cardiff so I'm sure we'd take loads there.

They would more likely bother going if it was in wembley lol, I would love for that game to happen and would be the best game if we was to win EVER!

If Wembley is ready in time...

I'm not sure anyone would get to Cardiff - we'd all take each other out on the M4. Only because of the rivalry between us, which, if I believe some posters on here, is not even surpassed by Celtic-Rangers.

I think there'd be a good crowd, I dare say there'd be a few neutrals turning up to get in on a local derby with high stakes.

One thing i would love would to beat them in a play-off final....how pukka would that be to see their sorry snivelling fools crying their eyes out!!!!

Of course, if the unthinkable happened, they'd have to keep quiet!

Col U perspective....

I would hate it. The playoffs are horrible at the best of times, but to lose to your biggest rivals... eurgh.

Of course, it would be fantastic to beat you lot in the final, but the thought of losing to you... to be honest, I wouldn't wish that feeling on you either! Let's just go up automatically alright?

Agreed. Wanna fight?

What a great day out that would be, pity its Cardiff though, lets start a campaign to play at somewhere like Villa Park its nearer, probably big enough, and its in England

As has been said, if it is held at Wembley, we'll take quite a few... but also, the last play-off turn out was also a victim of a long journey to Wales for the LDV final just before that.

This time around, there will be no LDV final (thankfully) and a place in the 2nd tier of the football league set-up.

Oh, and our supporter base has increased over the last season or two.

This is all regardless of Wembley or not... and if it's an Essex play-off final derby.
