Conflict of kit with the ref

Now I've been noticing this a lot lately at our games with keepers and officials, but how on earth was the Montenegro goalie permitted to wear exactly the same colours as the officials last night?

Typical woman. Watches 90 minutes of football and the only comment she can make is about the oh-so-scandalous colour clash between the referee and the 'keeper.

What was the TV doing in the kitchen in the first place?

:raspberry: I did also notice that Gareth Barry is absolute ***** of the first order, Wayne Rooney continues to underperform, Adam Johnson and Ashley Young both played well and Kevin Davies was a very welcome addition to the line up. Also that Rio Ferdinand was lucky not to get booked for that tackle in the first half and SWP should never get into a football ground again except as a paying customer.

It's a genuine question!

It is a fair point to be honest. I even had this at the weekend, that despite the ref being told we played in yellow he decided to turn up in his yellow ref's top...

I also don't get it when Goal keepers are allowed to wear the same colour as each other. I know it hardly leads to anything but what if a keeper was to go up for a corner at the end of the game and you couldn't tell the difference between the two of them.

He got the ball though? It was a firm tackle, and yes the other chap got hurt, but there was nothing wrong with it. Sort of like when Mr B munched the kid wearing pink boots on Sunday.. that was a glorious moment

Matter of opinion Davros, have seen bookings given for far less and the sheepish way he looked over to the ref, I think he was quite expecting to see a yellow being waved in his direction. As to Mr B's tackle, well, I'm afraid I shall have to bow down to your superior knowledge :winking:

:omg:  .. i hope he was at least booked the dirty pervert

To be fair, they were on the same team.

The official did us no favours with his failure to cutdown on Montenegro's tactical fouling. I was really expecting to see a Montenegrean(sp?) to see red, which would then have hopefully freed up some space.
