Competition for places

Rayleigh boy

Director⭐
reckon Tillys got cover in every position now - (a season too late perhaps) -
and if we compete on 4 fronts, League, FACup, Lge Cup, Johnstone paints
they should all get a games -

Flavs/Collis -

Francis/Gilbert Barrett/Richards Clarke/Zoltan Hammel/Wilson

Gower/Foran Maher/Moussa Bailey/MacCormack JCR/Black

Paynter/Harrold MacDonald/Hooper/Bradbury

plus utility man Lewis Hunt -

- up front looks a little weak/unproven but there are real prospects out there and strong competition in all areas of the team - Gower, Maher and MacCormack should be tucking away goals at this level -

personally think Charlie Mac might surprise a few people once he adjusts to the higher level - good assist for Bradbury against Chelts -

Can't see that Tilson would want anyone to go unless hes getting major quality in - 22/23 is the maximim squad size even Mourinho will work -

happy daze - the only way is up -

I think thats pretty healthy overall. I know the old "20+ striker" debate will rear its head again, but as I've said before if the guys all get 25 between them, then thats that problem solved too.

My head still tells me that this side nearly kept us up in the CCC, so now its been strengthened, why can't it mount a decent challenge in League 1?

I think come Christmas time we'll be seeing who's got the desire and who hasn't out of this lot

Rayleigh boy i'm giving you green purely for starting a positive thread. I agree, every position bar some aspects of our attack has been covered with quality. Possibly a new big Centre back and a striker would really transform tha6t side into a top of L1 squad. I think your right about Charlie mac, once he's got one, he'll socre for fun. That was what i used to say when i had a decent prospect and i think, although he's not young he still has a lot to give. The squad is perhaps a little lacking in height and pace but i think that is a more than decent L1 squad.

also at league One level koads of goals are 6 yarders - the quality finishing of the championship - anything around the edge of the box - is a lot less -
