Come on Clarky, sign the friggin contract

THE SEVENTIES NORTH BANK

Life President⭐⭐🦐
Come on Peter Clarke, you may not be as good as you think you are.
Your just a tad too small for a centre back, hence getting beat in the air too often.Your long balls out of defence that are aimed at a particular striker are in general pants and usually go staight into the crowd. You have been known to let the man you are marking get away from you at free kicks or corners, all too often.

As far as we know there has not been One offer for you. If you were that good, there would be some sort of queue for your signature.

Having said all that, you show great heart and can't be faulted for effort and the desire to win, you still have great potential and you are very much liked at Southend.

So stop being silly and sign the contract, which is probably a much fairer one than you think.

If he had some serious competition at centre-back and his place looked in trouble i'm sure he'd be bashing Ron's office door open to get his name down.

I'm still confident Clarke will sign a new deal and be here this time next year, No Championship clubs have made an offer as far as we know and hopefully he'll be playing there with us next year.

Playing Devil's Advocate a bit here but, if I were Clarke I'd probably respond to a request to "sign the friggin contract" by pointing out that I already have signed a contract and that's why I'm working and giving 100% to SUFC. Nowhere in my current contract does it state that I'm obliged to immediately sign any extension offered.
