For all you parents of small children (and those of you who are just big kids) check out what looks like being a fantastic CD when it comes out on October, Colours Are Brighter.

It's an album of kids songs put together by one of Belle & Sebastian with contributions from amongst others B&S themselves, Franz Ferdinand, The Divine Comedy and the magnificent Half Man Half Biscuit.

The MySpace site has a few tracks to listen to including the dangerously catchy 'The Monkeys Are Breaking Out The Zoo' - you'll be singing "Because today the monkeys, are breaking out the zoo" and getting strange looks from passers by if you're not careful
