Colchester Reported

[Lord Football]

Reading my own forum, I am seeing Stockport fans incensed at Colchester's behaviour today. 21 fouls, 4 yellows and they are screaming about two "definite send offs".

Local Radio in that part of the world are report that Stockport have reported two of the tackles by Colchester players to the police citing assault.

Maybe something to keep an eye on in the coming few weeks.

Thoughts from a Stockport fan:

Gannon may respect him but he's a effing spudd [already edited. Comment on Lambert]. You could've played the first leg of our play off games against Wycombe yesterday and it was the same. Everytime we got playing our football they kicked lumps out of us. 23 fouls the stats show.

How they had 11 men on by the end is a joke. Matty McNeil is still in Stepping Hill hospital after leaving on a spinal board. This was due to a particulary late elbow to the head years after he'd won the f l i c k on. How the defender only got a yellow is anyones guess. The challenge was that bad Gannon has asked the police to look at it.

Then there was the left back who persistently made late challenges on McSweeney and Gleeson yet survived on a yellow.

We were on top for the majority of the game but failed to take our chances. I think if McNeill had managed to play the 90mins we'd have won as he was causing all sorts of problems.

Poor defending by us for both of their goals. Not overly bothered as we played well enough against 11 thugs.

Final note well done to Colchester Utd directors goading the County fans at the final whistle. They were lucky our director stepped in as things were going to turn very nasty.

Seems they and Lambert are a partnership made in heaven.

They'll take pride in it I'm sure. We already know that they have no problem with cheating to win, and if they don't mind keeping on a neanderthal thug like Jamie Guy after his convictions for assault of a minor and drink driving then what's an elbow in the head between friends?
