Right for the past 3 home games now ive seen Micky Adams sitting in the directers area ont he ground... no please correct me if im wrong but isnt he part of Col United now??

maybe he was just bored and in the area. Ian Holloway took his Mrs to a game once because it the closest ground to where they had gone on holiday or to see friends. He said something about he took her for dinner, buttered her up and then when they left the restuarant he took her to something like Lincoln v Darlington reserves.

I don't think its any secret that Col U are after Barrett , i posted some time back that AB was definatly considering this move and i honestly thought he may have gone before the window shut but it didn't happen.

The fact is us being near the bottom of league one in Jan could be the insentive for him to jump ship , que all the barreet bleeds blue blood etc , but guys this is footbal and no body wants to be playing for a club in the bottom half of the 3 division compaired to the chance of CCC football again believe me.

It was the same as JCR , i posted some time back that he would be leaving us as he desperatly wanted to play CCC or above football , no harm in that , i also get the feeling that Gowers days with us could be numbered as well

When Barrett signed for us it was essentially a downward move when we were a struggling league two side.

Now Colchester is up the road and he could certainly be close to his roots still but I dont see him going to a smaller club, just because they are for now in a higher division.

JCR is a different story, he was always a far more ambitous guy, he joined us because we were on the up and Rotherham were on the decline.

If a bigger club showed interest I wouldnt dismiss him leaving but I cant imagine him going to Colchester, but who knows.

Clearly Adams is still trying to work out whether Barrett is capable of making the step up to Big Time football.

Rumour has it that Jamie Guy could well be going in the opposite direction (initially on loan ?).At least he would have Richards to talk to.
