"Spurs have asked to keep the details of the game from today private, but some disappointing news from it - Michael Timlin dislocated his elbow during the game, while Ryan Leonard missed out because of a knock picked up in the Billericay friendly on Tuesday night."

Can anyone suggest why this game has been shrouded in such secrecy? IIRC similar games at least have a short report afterwards.......doesn't look as though that's going to be the case with this game.

All I can think is that Spurs have a trialist playing that they don't want other clubs sniffing around.

Connor Clifford can come in. Or Jack Payne (otherwise why renew his contract?) It's the one area where we have strength.

My theory is that Spurts are still looking to replace Bale with Strakes but PB didn't have the heart to tell them he had moved on and saw an opportunity to flog them someone else instead for a wheel barrow full of cash. :stunned:

How do we know how good Connor Clifford is until he gets a real run in the side? At the same time, Timlin's injury also presents a great opportunity for hungry young players like Jack Payne and Jack Bridge.
