It seems with have spent £450,000 plus..

and have been led to believe that Paynter and Clarke, are the dog's fluffy things..

But it seems, that Tilly performs magic with those we haven't paid much, if anything for..

I will give you a list:
Eastwood
Hooper
Goater
Rickets
Hammel
Harrold

now we have then spent 450,000 and let's be honest.. we haven't really had anything in return..

i would much prefer to see sodje lining up with Barrett at the back..

fine 450,000 is an expensive mistake to make.. but surely Tilly Knows he doesn't have to Justify his' buying.

It seems, he brings players in that have good experience at little cost.. and turns there game a round..

To be honest, what do you really expect for £250,000. We are facing teams that dont spend less than half a million. Grant Holt went for £500k last season. Thats the sort of player we should be looking at but we cant afford it. Show me where we can find a decent defender and a decent forward for under half a million. The price we are paying for players is absolute peanuts. And you know what happens when you pay peanuts !

That's the most sensible post I've ever seen you make. Someone mentions the Peter Taylor effect on another thread and this is something I've thought before too

Or alternatively no-one expected much from Mark Bentley, Luke Guttridge, Matt Harrold etc so that they were given time to settle in and adjust. With Paynter and Clarke everyone expects instant results because of their pricetags.

The only Tilly signing that produced instant results was probably Freddy. IIRC everyone else had to be eased into the system.
