CL Betting tonight

After pickign up a nice chunk of value on Liverpool winning and getting a bit lucky with the sending off, I'm keen to have a punt on the game tonight*.

I think Man Utd look too short at that price and you feel that they would happily take a draw back to Old Trafford. Overs 2.5 goals at 2.6 is pretty tempting but I expect Ferguson may well put out a cagey side. 5 out of 6 of Lyon's CL games this season have involved >2.5 goals and Benzema is on hot form.

Personally, the Arsenal Milan game looks like a very difficult one. I'm expecting Milan to get better as the tournament goes on so could be tempted to lay Arsenal but Arsenal have been a bit good this season while AC have been a bit bad. The only thing that looks tasty is 7.6 on Seedorf to score but Gallas seems to rise to big games and can be backed to score at 12

To be honest, English teams are usually priced pretty well so it might make sense to elsewhere. Barca are odds on to win in Glasgow but only slightly more so than Milan and we know how that turned out. I think this is going to be extremely cagey and 3.1 on under 1.5 goals looks decent to me. Very tempted to lay Barca.

The biggest value might be in Sevilla who should be around 2.2 IMO but are priced at a lofty 2.8 to win. If not that, then O2.5 goals is over evens and Sevilla have been averaging well over 3 goals per game this season.

*gutted I didn't bet unders on Chelsea in spite of it only being about 1.6!

That would be my choice, though looking at the history it appears Arsenal and Milan have never met before which surprises me. Though of course the big one that the Gooners want to tick off the list is the mighty Shrimpers.

Just realised I compeletely misquoted you! My bet would have been low goals in Arsenal v Milan and I'd have been right! Shame I stopped spread betting many years ago.

Course B.

Didn't do too well with the betting and probably lost about a third of what I staked but I still think the Sevilla to win bet had massive value. Before it went three two, they could and should have gone ahead given the number of times they countered overloading the Fenerbahce back line. Just not enough vision or timing at the crucial moment!

Still, I think Sevilla and Milan both look good to progress so my Outirght market looks a bit better now
