Sorry if this has been mentioned already but has been released by Charlton, wouldnt mind him around the place as his experience is valuable when you look at what the Goat and Prior brought to the club.

Would be great to see Chrissy back at the club but not sure what is left in him. He is 39 after all. But maybe a player/coach role is a possibility. The example and experience he could give to the young lads at the club could prove invalueable. Think tilson knows that if Maher does leave in the summer it is a very young team and whether we are in the Championship or League 1 next season we could prosper even more with some experience in the squad.

doesn't he have some role with the PFA? would be great as a player/coach if it was possible

Don't think he's that interested in playing anymore though, and i'd imagine with his coaching experience and connections he'd be in high demand as a coach.

Wouldnt have him back as a player, I dont believe in having players back for 2nd spells. We should move forwards, not backwards. Would be good as a coach to give Mulgrew some help in improving his defending a bit

Hes the PFA chairman I think so am sure the FA will find him plenty of work!! Great bloke though and great player for us... Bet he could still 'wiggle it'!!!

He'd have to relinquish the PFA Chairman's role if he retires, as to be on the PFA Management Committee you still have to be a registered player.
