Listening on the radio, towards the end of the game a loud roar went up from our fans and people started chanting "We Are Going Up"

Maher just said on the radio they thought it meant Bury had equalised so started putting men behind the ball to protect a 1-1 draw.

I hope the muppet that started this rumour off is happy with himself.

I'd have hoped Maher would have the intelligence to not believe the crowd and instead get the win that would have secured us going up.

Even if it had gone 1-1 at Bury who's to say that Swansea wouldn't have grabbed a winner in the last minute to leave us where we are right now?

I live in southend and been to a few of your games this season, and looked really good for the top 3.

Hope you can go up through the playoffs! I feel you should change your formation. 4-3-1-2 perhaps. Maher, Bentley and McCormack in the middle, with eastwood and gray upfront with Guttridge just behind the front two.

Also, from what was said, the ref blew early as the Home fans were encroaching onto the pitch. Whilst we probably wouldn't have scored in the last minute, we will never no for sure.
