Win tomorrow and we could be seeing ourselves at the top of the pack..
It won't be easy by all means though, Cheltenham Aren't a bad side and we seem to always struggle against these lot.

Predictions? I'm going for a 2-1 win with Corr and Hurst with the goals in front on 6500.

COYB

in some ways we've been a bit lucky the last couple of games. would love a win, but looking at the last few wins (3-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-1, 2-1) i might go for 1-1. the good thing about the last two wins, other than the comebacks, is that they now know they don't have to keep a clean sheet to win.

Lets get right behind the boys from the off, I think we are going to nick this one 1-0 with a crowd of 5121

According to there message board curreton has been woeful.

I'm going for a 1-0 win with Barry corr nodding the winner in stoppage time infront off 5483.

We won't go top as oxford lose but chesterfield get a point a newport.

Michael Timlin inspires Southend to a 3-0 win, scoring early on before creating goals for Barry Corr and the returning Freddy Eastwood. 6,075 in attendace.

For some reason our odds have gone from 4/5, then 10/11 and now to evens on William Hill, whilst Cheltenham have stayed at 14/5 all week?

I would say stick your money on now, brilliant odds for a team on a 5 mach winning run.

Cheltenham may not be up near the top but they haven't lost in 5 matches - just like us.

Bringing in 3 loan players suggests to me that the manager will repair their main weakness which is letting in goals.

The availability of players such as Corr and Eastwood (and Leonard) is an important factor. I just hope all 3 are in the squad on Saturday.

A 0-0 draw I say.

Oh. One last thing. I suggest we start with only 11 men on the pitch but come kick-off 1 man simply walks off to the bench and takes it easy - after that last 2 games, we seem to okay with just 10 and this way we can always bring the player back on if necessary ........................ :winking:

So my team would be

Bentley

White (love the tash), Kiernan, Prosser, Coker

Hurst, Atkinson, Timlin, Straker

Corr

Laird on the bench (see above)

Not quite, they lost to Tamworth in the FA Cup 4 games ago.

But taking out that result and only including league fixtures, they are undefeated in 6 and have only lost once in 8 games.

Our boys aren't that quick. :winking:

Get on at those odds.

We were outplayed first half against both York and Pompey and are without our best player in Leonard and with our second best player a doubt with a potential broken cheekbone.

I'd be selling a Southend win.

(Obviously I won't as I can't bring myself to bet against us)

Surely John White and Ben Coker will know how to cope with Cureton? 2-1 win for me.

Got out of jail a bit recently and Cheltenham are always a tough proposition for us. But the sign of a good team is to win when not playing well and we have that down to an art. Heart says win, head says 1-1.
