I am launching this thread to hopefully be be of assistance to myself and others who will not be fortunate enough to be at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and who want to watch the match on their computers rather than listening on BW.
As a number of you will know, I'm not exactly a whiz-kid on the computer but with help from my daughter did manage to see, in wonderment, both play-off semi-finals, earlier in the year. The only problem with my daghter is that when she's not on msn, she's generally not in the house!
As I understand it there are a large number of sites offering free streaming of football.....is there one that should be chosen over all others?
It would also seem that you have to wait, probably until the day of the match, to find out which provider is showing the game you want to see.....
however is there any preparatory work that one can carry out i.e. down-
loading software? I have done a couple of preliminary trials and managed to get the Blackburn v Man City match (sky) on ATDHE.net. I have also seen that www.getsport is advertising showing the match on Saturday.
One slight difficulty for me, and perhaps others, is that, after problems with Internet Explorer, we use Firefox. Most football streaming appears to be orientated to, or works better on the latter. I suppose the fear I have, is trying to sort out everything at the last minute, running in to problems, missing the first twenty minute of the match and reluctantly falling back on BW, in a totally stressed state........only to find that we're already three nil down!!!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
