Not seen it yet but apparently ballboy wouldnt throw ball back and Hazard tried to kick it from him and got sent off.

Someone tweeted the ballboys name so had a quick look at his twitter account and amazingly before game he tweeted:

The king of all ball boys is back making his final appearance #needed #for #timewasting

Well he did more than just timewaste :hilarious:

Cheating little barsteward. Hazard was wrong for what he did, but that lad will be the focus of many a Chelsea fan after tonight, shocking behaviour.

Ballboys actions were stupid, he is there to get ball in play, not hold on to it, and his tweet shows he intended to waste time.

That said Ive just seen it at normal speed and Hazards reaction was way over the top and deserved to be sent off.

Media will have a field day tomorrow! Cue the Daily Mail and other internet "journalism" websites to frantically write an article showing Hazard as violent "enemy" and, obviously, the ballboy being the innocent party in all this as he was just trying to get the ball back as quickly as possible.

For me, looks like Hazard was just trying to get the ball back from under him, and maybe he shouldn't have done it. Just curious, but what would the ref do? Just tell the ballboy to give the ball back or get another ball?

Hope he gets a bollocking from someone.

Ballboy was certainly doing wrong and an idiot for not throwing ball back seeing as thats what he is there for, but Hazard was on him immediately and too physical by far. Complete overreaction on his part.

yeah the ball bounced of the advertising and the ballboy had his back to hazard when he caught it. Hazard was straight in grabbing at him and obviously the ballboy thought 'hang on i can fall over or hang onto it'. Hazard was being stupid going in so aggressively, and shouldn't have even put his boot anywhere near him. let the ref deal with the ballboy.

not sure it warrants anything more than the inevitable 3 match ban.

Swansea ballboygate surely. The kid did what all players do when they want the clock to jog on - just wasted a bit of time. Hazard needed to think before acting, was no biggie but the ref had no choice but to send him off. Hopefully the FA will realise that its been dealt with and the kid will realise his name will crop up as an answer in pub quizes and thats the end of it.

Quite fancy Brentford's chances on Saturday after watching Chelsea tonight.

Thats the same opinion some of the media are going with, but he didnt just "boot him". He was doing what I would do down the park with my son when he lays on the ball, try to kick it from under him. Saying that it was still a stupid thing to do as he didnt even give him a chance to throw it back (even if he probably wouldnt have done so quickly) and a complete over reaction on Hazards part.

Tust heard the ball boy is 17. When I first heard thought he would have been a kid.
