I could have gone Swansea now as well, meant to have a 3 hour lecture which lasted all of half hour. Stuffed up my plans for the night

Normally there, but with it being my birthday off out for a meal - poor planning I know but did not realise it was a Friday game, would have gone otherwise as other half has family in Swansea.

I know, but I wont get back to Gloucester until at least gone midnight, and my mates have other plans now. I cant go by myself

Don't know what you mean, I was of course refering to the 4 day power cut we had earlier this month, and noticing that the wind was getting up again...

Seriously though, could you not use a laptop, or was the telephone exchange down too

Something to be said for string and tins then.. Perhaps you ought to dig out the old 56.6 (PCMCIA?) and set up an emergency pay-as-you-go ISP?

Or buy a gennie
