Second one, as Fabregas, doesn't really have any connection with club. Unlike with Anderson and Fabregas who are rivals.

The first version still scans better, the last line has 3 beats there at the end and the 2nd version has 4. Can "Nicky Bailey" be shortened to "that Bailey" or something like that? I think it would then fit better and it would be much more relevant to us as a club.

Fabregas has no connection to the club, but why can't we change the player to a col utd player or a player from a rival club rather than an ex shrimper?

I imagine because Fabregas is right up there at the top of the game, whereas if you stuck someone like Duguid in it's not actually comparing him to very much. Bailey, on the other hand, is recognised as having been our best player last season which is why it is still relevant to have him.

You could have something like:

Talents show
Watch him go
As he s**** on Ron-al-do
