Ref Watch ... Carlisle

Mick

Life President
The referee for Saturday's match is James Linington from Newport on the Isle of Wight. He is a first year referee, but one who is used to a bigger stage in his previous capacity as a Select Group Assistant Referee.

This will be his first Southend match although he was appointed for the Cheltenham away match but was replaced for some reason.

His 25 matches have produced an above average 74 yellow cards and 5 reds.

He will be assisted by Harry Lennard from Peacehaven in East Sussex and Adrian Sannerude from Lowestoft in Suffolk. The fourth official is Carl Berry from Tadworth Park in Surrey.

The linos aren't as local as normal then, interesting. Is a red every 5 games quite a bad record?
