Carling Cup

After beating Spurs, Grimsby draw Newcastle at home, and after two good results in a competition that Barnet knew little about in recent years, they get the matter of a trip to Old Trafford. Looks like there will be non-prem sides in latter rounds, as many all prem ties are listed, here is the draw in full:

Doncaster V Gillingham
Bolton V Wet Sham United
Crystal Palace V Liverpool
Manchester United V Barnet
Chelsea V Charlton
Reading V Sheffield United
Fulham V West Bromich Albion
Mansfield V Millwall
Sunderland V Arsenal
Everton V Middlesbrough
Wigan V Watford
Grimsby V Newcastle
Aston Villa V Burnley
Blackburn V Leeds
Cardiff V Leicester
Birmingham V Norwich

interestingly the prem top 2, and championship top 2 meet.

Shame we stopped caring bout this competition 13 years ago.
