I'm wondering if any stattos out there, or Mick maybe, could provide some stats since Brown has been in charge. Surely we must hold the most cards against record, especially reds ?

I was getting a bit worried a couple of games ago about how many yellow cards the midfielders were picking up per game but that seems to have declined recently.

In order to check whether we have the most cards against record, I would have to check not just ours but every other club ........ so that's a "no".

In Brown's 74 matches:

We have received 111 yellow cards (which at exactly 1.5 a game is very average) and 8 reds.

Our opponents have received 130 yellows and 13 reds.

Much appreciated Mick, I knew you wouldn't be able to resist an answer. That confirms my suspicions 13 v 8 red cards, percentage wise, is quite a difference.

I have no statistics to back this up but I suspect that the teams in the top 4 or 5 (over a season) will have less yellows and reds.

Being near the top suggests the team is winning and playing better than the opposition so the players are not becoming fustrated, are slightly ahead on the 50/50s (I know - that statement is illogical), won't be pestering the ref so much etcetera.

Just a gut feeling you know.
