Apparently Sarkozy said this about the Irish after the Irish referendum last year "They are bloody fools. They have been stuffing their faces at Europe's expense for years and now they dump us in the ****." so would be quality if they were getting their own back. Would also be great if Ireland do stuff them and put them out the world cup. Though Im sure Platini would come up with some plan to ensure their participation nonetheless.

I'm not sure if Sarko actually said that, but his general reaction to us over here after we rejected the Lisbon Treaty initially was not a very nice one to say the least. That is why, along with Raymond Domenech's comments about us being the England B team, mean things shall be very heated at Croke Park this Saturday :)
