Impossible to work right now as I am bricking ahead of tomorrows game

for as long as i have known it southend have always fallen at the last hurdle

I just hope this isn't the case tomorrow

Having looked at the predictor on BBC sport I reckon Scunny could finish top...

Not a bad first post at all mate. I think it is affecting everyone, though nervous, I'm also excited, proper butterflies! Just hope we can rise to the occassion, unlike Borient and Oxford recently.

Brentford and Dave Martin's pen didn't matter - we were promoted that's all that mattered that season. Come to think of it that's all that really matters this season - just the betting slip with £20 on Southend at 33/1 placed at W.Hill on 6 August makes me want us to win the thing this year. If we do drinks are on me post Grimsby!

Apart from one season in the Mid 60's I don't think we have blown promotion this late, but the Title (and my bet) is a different kettle of fish
