Calm down Mohsni

Seems well handled by Paul Sturrock there - at least he's saying the right things, teaching Bil to keep calm but without taking away the spark which makes him stand out.

Selective journalism always saddens me though. CP has blatantly chosen to leave out the reaction to the discussion when Mozzer overreacts, tears off Sturrock's left leg and feeds it to him for having a pop. Mark my words, Luggy will be limping the touchline versus Hereford.

It's a tough one for Luggy.

You can't take away Bilel's "passion" as that is what makes him who he is.

The entire player base of League 2 will know about his temperament and I'm sure he will be provoked massively this season.

But, he has to learn to be more discreet about his reactions to any goading. The odd kick in the back of the calfs, tickle of the nut sack or dig in the ribs would suffice.

IF he can curb it a little and we can get 40 games out of him. Luggy will have done well.

And I would expect us to be higher in the table as a result.

Interesting one. Do you think it's already reached that point? Not like we get massive media coverage at this level so you're talking about the bush telegraph.

Yeah I do.

Any decent manager in League 2 should be well aware of Bilel's temperament. And I am sure most team talks will involve his name at some point, along with instructions to "unsettle" him.

It could be a quick fire way for the opponent to gain a man advantage. It could also be a quick fire trip to the local hospital for someone as well.

Let's hope he has taken Luggy's words on board.

A calm (-er) Bilel, will give us that spark we need for a Play-off surge, I'm sure.

If not, then it could disrupt the whole team.

Yeah I'd agree, either the manager will know or word will get around between players who are mates.

Exactly. I'd expect the words "Nutty French/Tunisian" will be used rather a lot this season amongst opponents.

Sturrock needs to get him to channel all of that agression - Stuart Pearce style would be perfect

Premier league stats, played 202, 2 red cars, 34 yellow, 20 goals. the 'Pyscho' mantle never made sense to me as he was (nearly) always in control

CP tweeted 15mins ago......"Bilel v Barry Corr was the heavyweight wrestling clash at the TSG base in Westcliff yesterday. Who would your money be on?" (I don't know the answer!)

I can't help thinking that PS will have had this chat with BM before, maybe quite a few times.... Will it make much difference?

I think you're right but all he can do is keep having that conversation. It's carrot and stick. First he needs to motivate Bilel to behave the right way so that Bil wants to behave. Then, if that's not working he needs to look at punishments, disincentives, etc if his behaviour has a negative effect on the team. It's a really tough one to manage as Mohsni is combining poor temperament with a lack of experience to cope with the slings and arrows of pro football. If you're susceptible to road rage, chances are you know that getting angry isn't going to help, but when that red mist comes down...

I like United We Stand's approach. It's all about channelling the aggression. The best way to stick it to the guy winding you up is by scoring a goal or going through him 'fairly' in a well-timed crunching tackle and getting away with it. We now just need Mohsni to remember that next time his clothes start shrinking and his skin goes green.
