Buying off ebay problem

palexander

Life President
I brought (well paid for!) a PSP off of ebay earlier in the week and paid by PayPal.

I got an email yesterday from ebay stating that the persons account had been suspended whilst they investigate possible fraudulant usage.

Meanwhile, I've stumped up over a tonne and seen no goods yet. I've emailed the guy and he says it will be sorted out etc to which I was willing to give him the benefit.

I've emailed him today and heard nothing back.

If I dont hear anything by 1st thing tomorrow I will go through ebay/paypal to get my cash back.

Anyone else had problems like this and how were they resolved?

Cheers!

ive got a shop on ebay and my last dispute took 6 months for me too get my money back, your best bet is too find out where he is and go do him.

Its also a mission to get to paypal cos i signed up to paypal, and thier an anmerican company so its quite hard to get in contact with them

For one item I bought it took the seller 30 days to send it, after having complained to pay-pal, who took up the issue straight away.

Was stung by a scam that stole my cheque. Basically they sell a load of cheap goods and get good ratings. then sell loads of expensive stuff in one hit for which they only accept payment by cheque or postal order and do a runner.
I only ever use Paypal and though it might take time at least you'll get all your money back.

I've been lucky with ebay considering how much I've spent on it over the years - always pay by paypal if poss though, it's quicker and you can get your money back...
