Ok, just had a quote for some work that needs to be sorted on a house we're buying.
Spoke to the guy and he reckons that it's 1 days work. Does that price seem reasonable?? Any help/advice gratefully received.

Evidence of an existing damp proof course was noted within some ground floor walls. On testing ground floor walls with
a protimeter moisture meter testing device higher than normal moisture readings were obtained within the living room
passage wall.
Approximately 3 square meters of damp salt contaminated plaster was noted within these walls.
WE CANNOT COMMENT ON WALLS WHERE FITTED UNITS AND APPLIANCES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED
An inspection was carried out to the sub floor timbers within the cellar area. Where access was gained no signs of wet rot
and timber decay was noted.
I recommend for the following work to be carried out.
Remove the skirting boards and radiator to the necessary wall and hack off the defective wall plaster to the
aforementioned wall to a height of 1.2 metres, apply a TRITON plaster base cavity drain tanking membrane system, re
plaster and skim. Insert a triton tri jell chemical injection horizontal damp proof course incorporating all necessary verticals
to the aforementioned wall. Re install the existing radiators and skirting board.
If the skirting board contains wet rot or timber decay and is in need of replacing a charge of £8.00 per meter will be added
to the final cost that is shown below this does include supplying and instillation of the skirting board.
COST
Tanking and plastering approximately 3 metres £300
