I think I've only ever signed 4 players (3 all rounders and a batsman), and it probably came to about £8m total.

Have sold quite a few youth pulls minc.

I was, and still am really, building a squad for FC games. However, with hindsight, I obviously wish I hadn't, as I sold a player for close on 2m well over a year ago, to fund a squad for FC games, and then they didn't come in. Knowing what I know now in respect of training, and the TM, I would make far better use of an equivalent amount of money now.

BTW I saw on SA (I think) sledging, that someone had bought a keeper a while ago for 10m+ and had now sold him for less that 5m, maybe a sign that the Tm is slowing down a bit as wages start to bite ??
