BT Cup Round 6

MrB

Life President
We can tell you that ShrimperZone CC won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 17: 40-4, runrate=2.35
Ballard 2-0-2-0
Cunningham* 5 (16 balls)
Curtis 11 (32 balls)

Last Wicket: Sajjad Run Out 13 (FOW: 28/4)

Changed to cracked (overnight!) so glad just to still be there!

Is this not round 7?

The conditions changed from sunny to cloudy and humid overnight in Essex, meaning that AFC Wimbledon chose to bat first and gave us a chance. They've just got 12 off the last over though :(

End of Over 20: 101-4, runrate=5.05
Granville 5-0-24-0
Stevens* 1 (6 balls)
Williams 35 (43 balls)

Last Wicket: Conn c. Thay b. Deakin 24 (FOW: 88/4)

End of Over 27: 118-6, runrate=4.37
Deakin 7-1-19-3
Lester* 5 (10 balls)
Mitchell 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Williams b. Deakin 45 (FOW: 118/6)

Need all out 140.

I'm PAN. Is Battrick not woking for anyone else at the mo? I keep getting page cannot be displayed. Could somebody post my score please?

I'm on a PAN as well. Lost two wickets before it went down so probably won't make 100 now.

Hmm, can hopefully bowl them out for 140. Doubt we'll chase that, but we've done well so far.

B, what was your thinking in winning the toss and batting in those conditions with a cracked pitch? I'd be too worried about being skittled to do that!

In the most important game today, it stands at,

End of Over 42: 203-6, runrate=4.83
Malik 9-1-38-1
Mcintosh* 22 (17 balls)
Ramsden 14 (27 balls)

Last Wicket: Keigher c. Barnett b. Boateng 26 (FOW: 170/6)

At bloody last!

End of Over 45: 160-8, runrate=3.56
Clark 8-0-48-3
Lazarus* 12 (38 balls)
Lake 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Lester lbw b. Clark 31 (FOW: 160/8)

44.6 W Clark to Lester
Yes, he's got him LBW. Very little bounce from Clark's delivery, which has resulted in Lester being struck plumb in front.

170 to win roughly then. Can't see us doing it.

End of Over 6: 17-0, runrate=2.83, reqrunrate=2.11 (109-10)
Sutherland 3-2-6-0
Lucas* 6 (24 balls)
Tedstone 9 (12 balls)

Need some magic from somewhere....

End of Over 47: 161-10, runrate=3.43
Clark 8-0-48-4
Lake* 0 (2 balls)

46.1 W Clark to Brendell
Brendell doesn't even stop to see the umpire's finger go up. He'll be kicking himself that he got out playing that shot.

End of Over 46: 161-9, runrate=3.50
Lever 8-0-34-2
Brendell* 1 (3 balls)
Lake 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Lazarus lbw b. Lever 12 (FOW: 160/9)

162 to win then. Not a chance, we couldn't get that against a worse line-up on Friday!

Game ovewr here, thought we might have a chance with a cracked pitch but Suthers and Hot Rod couldn't make the breakthrough and can't really see Saj or Beefy doing it.

End of Over 10: 43-0, runrate=4.30, reqrunrate=1.68 (109-10)
Sutherland 5-2-15-0
Lucas* 19 (33 balls)
Tedstone 20 (27 balls)

End of Over 47: 161-10, runrate=3.43
Clark 8-0-48-4
Lake* 0 (2 balls)

46.1 W Clark to Brendell

End of Over 46: 161-9, runrate=3.50
Lever 8-0-34-2
Brendell* 1 (3 balls)
Lake 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Lazarus lbw b. Lever 12 (FOW: 160/9)

162 to win then. Not a chance, we couldn't get that against a worse line-up on Friday!

Good start. 12-0 after 3 overs.

I made 264-9.

I have a very experimental bowling line-up/orders, so I think you've got a very good chance of making it.

Need to be 120-2 to win at some stage, with one of Hudson or Davenport there until the end.
