BT - Cup Round 5

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
BATTY SHRIMPERS v Goochies Googlies

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

No early break-through, but his batting is probably stronger than his bowling

End of Over 7: 25-0, runrate=3.57
Schoeman 4-0-12-0
Adams* 10 (22 balls)
Woomble 15 (20 balls)

Their innings was interesting, 22-3 then a 150 partnership, then rolled out in the final ten. Pleased with it with no Suthers, Saj or Plums in the bowling attack.

End of Over 2: 17-0, runrate=8.50, reqrunrate=3.60 (189-10)
Cartwright 1-0-11-0
Cunningham* 10 (6 balls)
Sandile 6 (6 balls)

Decent start to the reply.

I won. By 10 wickets. Lovely jubilee. Big bonus for PFL's. As i thought they might, they put out a weak team and Jackman and Guy taking wickets early on, after being 19-0, saw them bowled out within 17 overs. Bring on the next round!

:)

End of Over 5: 24-1, runrate=4.80, reqrunrate=4.78 (238-10)
Barrowdale 3-0-12-1
Traynor* 20 (17 balls)
Bodfish 3 (12 balls)

Last Wicket: Miah c & b. Barrowdale 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Somewhat dominant!

End of Over 8: 71-0, runrate=8.88, reqrunrate=2.83 (189-10)
Cartwright 4-0-37-0
Cunningham* 42 (28 balls)
Sandile 22 (22 balls)

Hmmm

End of Over 39: 193-3, runrate=4.95, reqrunrate=4.18 (238-10)
Malik 8-0-50-0
Whitman* 95 (88 balls)
Sinclair 37 (54 balls)

Last Wicket: Traynor c. Barnett b. Gamage 44 (FOW: 83/3)

Whitman gone, a lucky run-out, now Malik to bowl...

End of Over 41: 202-4, runrate=4.93, reqrunrate=4.11 (238-10)
Savage 6-0-20-0
Sinclair* 43 (58 balls)
Barry 1 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Whitman Run Out 97 (FOW: 200/4)

Malik went for 11,

End of Over 44: 227-4, runrate=5.16, reqrunrate=2.00 (238-10)
Malik 10-0-67-0
Sinclair* 51 (66 balls)
Barry 18 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Whitman Run Out 97 (FOW: 200/4)

44.2 W Savage to Lebohang
Lebohang is going to have to live with that one being replayed over and over again. Disastrous running!
44.1 W Savage to Sinclair
Huge bounce outside off. Sinclair tries to square cut off the back foot and sends a big nick through to Barnett who pouches a straightforward catch at hip height.

Need a hattrick

46.1 6 Savage to Barry
He takes a huge swipe and somehow clears the long on ropes. No footwork, just brute strength.

End of Over 46: 230-7, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=2.25 (238-10)
Barrowdale 8-1-25-3
Barry* 20 (17 balls)
Moore 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Birley c. Barnett b. Barrowdale 1 (FOW: 230/7)

Got a lovely draw against a pretty average V/V team. Top player has a 25K rating. The only downside being that its away from home. Needed that as have a fairly tricky week this week with a tough FC match and a difficult looking OD match!

Kev

Won by 8 wickets, and have now been drawn at home to Level III side Eleven Golden Vampires, managed by the Pakistan NT manager. Could be winnable as he as a few at Invigorated or worse.
