Bryan Ferry had it right

Flashing Blade

Youth Team
Now we seem to have recovered our equilibrium after ONE defeat I'd just like to say that I think it's vital the support we showed against Palace is repeated throughout the season.
Some of our players are probably playing above their standard but they are the ones that got us this far and have given us tremendous enjoyment for two and a half years.
During a match, as long as they are putting the same effort in that they did on Tuesday, we've got to get behind them no matter what.
I thought the noise from our end on Tuesday was superb, old and young were giving it their all and only three goals in ten minutes dampened our ardour (as three goals in ten minutes tend to do).
Yes I was annoyed with our defending, and yes I think you should be able to come on a message board like this and complain all you want, but we have a part to play during matches to lift the boys as much as possible.
My mate wanted to leave early on Tuesday to `beat the traffic' and I stayed behind and got the train home because I wanted to make a point of clapping them off at the end to show that I appreciated that the team had put in 100% effort, even though that wasn't good enough to beat a good team for this division.
It was especially pleasing that the players as a man came over to applaud us at the end to show they appreciated our efforts, Paul Brush was especially animated, and I saw Hammell heading for the tunnel at the final whistle only to see that we were still clapping and cheering them off so he turned around and came over (obviously they do things differently at Motherwell).
We've got to keep this `all in it together' spirit going even if things turn against us. It could be worth a couple of points at the end of the season and they could be vital.

Good post totally agreed up the shrimpers

Post of the day young man.

Together we can be the 12th man and all that....

We saw that on Tuesday at Palace when they had the lino as their 12th man.

Same happened after the Stoke game the new players all shot off the pitch pretty sharpish leaving only Barrett, Flahaven & I think Maher to clap the fans.

Someone will have to tell them that they have to do a full lap of honour at the end of each match win, lose or draw.
