Bristol Stag

Streaky

Manager⭐
I have been asked to help out organising a stag weekend in Bristol - as the best man doesnt think he'll make it (good choice eh).

We're planning to go to Bath Racecourse on the friday evening, but looking for some stag friendly bars / clubs for friday and saturday.

Anyone got suggestions?

I organised a stag do in Bristol a couple of years ago. The best place to head for clubs is by the river, where they have a better version of Bas Vegas. There is an Oceana which is about 5 clubs in one. in the same area is about 5/6 restaurants, All Bar One, Jumpin' Jaks, Walkabout and a strip club within 5 minutes walk (Central Chambers).

We did find it a little difficult to find decent things to do during the day, I'm pretty certain there's paintball within a 20 minute drive.

Try and stay away from St.Pauls which also has strip clubs. It makes Beirut look picturesque and has a reputation for violence. Hope this helps.

Agree with St Pauls comment - it is fairly close to the city centre (m32 side), and I genuinely hated walking through there - first time that u had the horrible feeling that I could be mugged.

As dbp says, by the river / Baldwin St etc should be fine. Fair trek from train station though if that's a problem.

Yeah the station is in the middle of nowhere. The quayside bit is good with some good bars. Also the cider boat is worth finding

I think some of the locals may struggle with their sense of humour. Last year, on the day of the England vs USA game, some lads I know spent the weekend in Bristol and made the stag dress up in a red white and blue cheerleaders outfit, carrying USA flags. Some people thought he was a genuine USA fan and on a couple of occasions he got threatened with a beating. It got to the point where his mates had to accompany him to the toilet every time in case he got a shoeing. Lovely.

That's a good point actually, I almost got in a fight when a local took exception to my tap dancing in tribute to his battered gf who was struggling to stand up

the bierkeller

Had a great night there on my mates stag. Loads of hen & stag parties do go there though.

Bierkeller is made for stag, hen, birthday partys etc and you'll have a quality time. Steins of this Red cocktail type stuff are order of the day in there and you end up on stage doing drinking challenges, full monty and the like.

My advice would be to head to beirkeller early, ring up and book in advance and then head to the Waterfront where there is a strip of bars, Including Hooters & Oceana and then onto the Casino round the corner.

There's a Hooters in Bristol!? Really?

Yup there sure is, its in the local press at the moment for suppling a Birthday Cake in the Shape of Breasts for a 12yr olds birthday party.

EPIC!!

Why are people moaning about it? Surely parents would have known it was a hooters and not taken her there! Typical news story about nothing!
